Sevin Okyay was born in 1942. She is known as the translator of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” and “Harry Potter” series. Sevin Okyay, graduate of Arnavutkoy American College started to translate since 1964. She is also serving as journalist and film critic. Even she holds the title of the first female film critic in Turkey.
Sevin Okyay who won a number of awards in translation both domestically and internationally is one of the successful female translators keeping her career up.
