THE SECRET OF THE TRANSLATION PROFESSION: A LOOK INTO THE PAST AND THE FUTURE

With the support of the “Avrasiya” translation center and the organization of the “Zirve” Youth Development Club and the “Voice of Youth” volunteer platform, an event called “The Secret of the Translation Profession: A Look Into the Past and the Future” was held. The event began with the performance of the national anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in honor of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. This part of the ceremony added both an official and deeply spiritual atmosphere to the event.
The opening speech was delivered by Fidan Isayeva, the chairperson of the “Zirve” Youth Development Club. She emphasized the importance of the event, welcomed the participants, and spoke about how beneficial this initiative would be for young people. Next, the organizers—Shahana Abbasova and Madar Shikarova—took the stage to speak about the main purpose of the event, the planned activities, and the opportunities created for the participants. They also highlighted the role such projects play in the professional development of youth. The main guest of the event was Member of Parliament Jeyhun Mammadov. In his insightful speech, he spoke at length about the history of the translation profession, its role today, and its future prospects. He also motivated the young audience, discussing ways to achieve success in this field and sharing his personal experiences.
The artistic part of the event brought unforgettable moments to the audience and added emotional depth to the atmosphere: Samad Muradov’s performance of “Siza salam gatirmisham” (I bring you greetings) enriched the event with a musical touch. Fatima Suleymanli, a member of the “Oratory Club” of the “Voice of Youth” volunteer platform, delivered a speech on the importance of language and captivated listeners with a selected poem. Umud Rasulov, a member of the “Zirve” Youth Development Club, added emotional depth with his heartfelt recitation. Nuru Khudaverdiyev’s performance of the “Khudayar tasnif” deeply moved everyone and was met with enthusiastic applause. The training session was remembered for moments filled with both knowledge and emotion. This event, which offered significant professional and moral value for young participants, was met with great interest and appreciation.
