WHAT I HAVE GAINED FROM MY INTERNSHIP

From February to May 2025, as a student at Baku Slavic University, I had the opportunity to complete my internship at Avrasiya Translation Center. For me, this was more than just a mandatory step in my studies — it was my first real introduction to the professional world.
 
During the internship, I worked on a wide variety of texts, from official documents to materials of different genres and styles. Each task required accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. I also realized how important proper presentation is, as the way a translation is delivered can be just as crucial as the translation itself.
 
This experience gave me much more than technical skills. I learned how to work effectively as part of a team while also taking responsibility for independent tasks. Working on texts on various topics both broadened my worldview and enabled me to learn new terms. Most importantly, I understood how essential precision and professionalism are when handling official documents.
 
I strongly believe that internships should not be limited to a single semester. Continuous practice throughout one’s studies would allow students to build stronger professional skills and be better prepared for the job market.
 
My internship at Avrasiya Translation Center has become a solid foundation for my future career. It gave me the confidence and skills I need to grow as a translator and to succeed in the professional field.
